Dear Parents,

I would like to share with you a wonderful new program that I would like to begin using in our class this year. It is called Mouse Mischief by Microsoft. Mouse Mischief allows me to add multiple choice questions into my PowerPoint presentations, allowing me to create interactive presentations that engage all students. The students can work as teams or individually to answer questions. Using this program would allow me to see who understands the topic that we are working on and who may need a little practice. The program Mouse Mischief itself is a free download from Microsoft. The only equipment needed for this program is wireless mice.

You can visit their website at http://www.microsoft.com/multipoint/mouse-mischief/en-us/default.aspx

This year our school is on a very tight budget so, I am writing to ask for donations of wireless mice for our classroom. I would need a class set of 18, which each class would share. Specifically, I am asking for the Microsoft Explorer Mini Mouse. Currently it is available on Amazon.com & Walmart.com for $15.82 and at Staples for $29.99 (item #770333).

Thank you for your time, and whether you are able to give or not, know I deeply appreciate your dedication to your child and our school.

Thank you,

Mrs. Dana Mills

Find the Pickle Paper Drive at Telesis

We are in the middle of a paper drive. Ask your student about the contest and please send in reams of paper to our homeroom. The class with the most reams of paper will win a party of their choice (like pizza or ice cream).

Thank you for all that you do to support your child's learning career at Telesis.

December 6-10

Tuesday is Pearl Harbor Day. We will be watching "Tora, Tora, Tora". Because of the length of the movie it will take us two class periods to finish the film.

2nd and 3rd years will both be comparing and ordering fractions this week.

2nd years Accelerated Math assignment numbers 44-46

3rd years Accelerated Math assignment numbers 39 & 40

Group C1 will also continue to work on their Glogg about fractions.
